Slavery and human trafficking statement

Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more to publish an annual statement. J-Mach Limited is far below that threshold and makes this statement voluntarily, because its customers are entitled to know where it stands.

Our business

J-Mach Limited is a UK software company, company number 08374642, registered office 7-8 Portmill Lane, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 1DJ. It builds, hosts and maintains business software and websites for a small number of UK customers. The work is done in the United Kingdom by the company's founder. There are no overseas subsidiaries, no outsourced development teams and no agency labour.

Our supply chain

J-Mach's suppliers are cloud hosting providers (Render, Vercel, Neon), Microsoft, GoDaddy, and the ordinary suppliers of computer equipment and office services. All are established companies that publish their own modern slavery or human rights statements. J-Mach buys no manufactured goods for resale and has no supply chain of raw materials or physical production.

Our position

J-Mach will not knowingly do business with any organisation involved in slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour or human trafficking. Where a customer's own supply chain is relevant to work J-Mach does for it, for example a component distributor, J-Mach builds the records that help that customer meet its own obligations, such as country of origin on every product.

Risk

Given the nature of the business, a one-person UK software company buying services from large regulated providers, J-Mach assesses the risk of modern slavery in its business and supply chain as low. It reviews that assessment, and this statement, each year.
